Head of a young woman
with curly hair seen from a three-quarter angle divided and
tied behind the nape of the neck. The overall impression
when turned upside down is of the angel in the Virgin of the
Rocks, whilst the hairstyle reminds one of a nymph in a
fresco by Luini. Attempts to restore the damaged drawing
have resulted in “strabisto” and the wrong position of
the ears. Dated around 1523.

Testa di giovane donna di tre quarti a destra, con capelli ricci divisi
sul capo e legati dietro la nuca. La tipologia generale deriva,
rovesciata, da quella di un angelo nella Vergine delle rocce,
mentre l’acconciatura è vicina a quella di una ninfa di un
affresco di Luini. Alcuni tentativi di restaurare il disegno,
molto consunto, hanno portato degli scompensi come lo strabisto
e l’attacccatura fuori posizione delle orecchie. Datato
intorno al 1523.
