Head and bust of a man with a left profile wearing a tall, conical hat
and holding a stick over his shoulder. Despite a
controversial attribution, this drawing was recognised by
Pedretti as the work of Leonardo. Here, with the sunken eyes,
he has tried to put a confused vision into focus. Dated
around 1595.

Testa e busto di un uomo di profilo a destra, con un alto cappello conico
e un bastone in spalla. Di attribuzione alquanto controversa,
questo disegno viene riconosciuto di mano di Leonardo da
Pedretti, che vi scorge il tentativo di mettere a fuoco una
visione confusa in cui la vitalità è data dal tocco degli
occhi infossati. Circa 1595.
