The
material formed a cloak that fell in particularly elaborate
folds thanks to the help of an arm that holds one end. The
study is dedicated to the use of other light to emphasise
the raised hem. As with the previous drawing this might be a
copy of a true artificial with a wrapped clay support
covered to obtain a rather complex drape. The date is the
same.

nell’angolo superiore sinistro; cm 28,2 x 18,1.

Il tessuto forma un
mantello che cade in pieghe particolarmente elaborate grazie
all’artificio del braccio che ne trattiene un lembo. Lo studio
è dedicato all’uso delle alte luci per evidenziare il rilievo
delle balze. Come il disegno precedente può essere una copia da
un vero artificiale, da un sostegno di creta rivestito per
ottenere un drappeggio assai complesso; la datazione è la
stessa.
