Studies for the Nativity, exercises in composition. Those at the
bottom left and centre, with St. Giovannino, seem an anticipation
of the famous Virgin of the Rocks. The figures of the Child and
St. Giovannino are curious because they seem to be playing
hide-and-seek behind the robes of the Virgin.

Studi per una Nativitą, esercitazioni di composizione. Quello in basso a sinistra e ancor pił quello al centro, con un San Giovannino, sembrano anticipare la celebre Vergine delle rocce. Sono curiose le figure del Bambino e di San Giovannino che sembrano giocare a nascondersi dietro il panneggio della Vergine.
