sketch for the composition in the Prado Museum in Madrid. The figures
around the Madonna are Tobiolo, the angel Raphael and Saint Jerome,
whilst the Child in the Virgin’s arm and the lion at the feet of Saint
Jerome are missing. The writing that appears on the step of the throne
(“Raf.Urb.”) is certainly from the 16th century. The
folio and painting are dated 1513-1514.

abbozzo per la composizione che attualmente si trova al Museo del Prado
di Madrid. Le figure attorno alla Madonna sono Tobiolo, l’angelo
Raffaele e San Girolamo, mentre manca il Bambino in braccio alla Vergine
e il leone ai piedi di San Girolamo. La scritta che appare sul gradino
del trono (“Raf. Urb.”) č di mano cinquecentesca. Foglio e dipinto
sono databili 1513-1514.
