The internal view of the Pantheon is not a true representation, having one excessively large angle. This may only be obtained by using a wide-angled lens camera. This fact may be easily explained by the presence, on the same folio, of the work of two different “artists”, using different coloured inks. Most of the drawing was by Raphael, whilst a second artist probably added the tabernacle to the right and the vestibule, and other parts of the folio. Raphael’s many imperfections have caused much discussion but the observation of “two hands” allows us to believe most of the drawing authentic, dated about 1506.

La veduta dell’interno del Pantheon non è fedele alla realtà, e ha un angolo di visuale eccessivamente largo, ottenibile in fotografia con un obiettivo grandangolare. La cosa è facilmente spiegabile con la presenza, sullo stesso foglio, di due mani diverse, come dimostra anche la diversa colorazione degli inchiostri. Gran parte del disegno appartiene a Raffaello, mentre un secondo artista avrebbe aggiunto il tabernacolo più a destra e il vestibolo, intervenendo anche in altre zone del foglio. L’attribuzione al Sanzio è stata oggetto di molte discussioni, date le molte imprecisioni, ma l’osservazione sulle “due mani” permette di ritenere autografa buona parte del disegno, databile intorno al 1506.
