A simple drawing, almost like a cartoon (typical of the best artists of this type) in its precision, useful to the painters who dedicated themselves to the production of front-pieces of chests. The referral to Raphael is quite arbitrary, but surely he too must have produced them as is evident in a cartoon for the Piccolomini library in the Uffizi in Florence.

Un disegno di repertorio, quasi fumettistico (come nei migliori artisti di questo genere) nella sua precisione, utile ai pittori che si dedicavano alla produzione di frontali di cassoni. Il riferimento a Raffaello è abbastanza arbitrario, ma di certo ne aveva eseguiti anche lui, come dimostra un cartone per la libreria Piccolomini agli Uffizi di Firenze.
