una strutturazione serrata (senz'essere rigido e chiuso) dell'immagine,
per cui le vibrazioni delle superfici rispondono ad un fremito
interiore, pausato e disteso, che le intensifica e dilunga in
rispondenze pił complesse, accentuando, per tal mezzo, anche le cadenze
patetiche naturalmente congeniali alle sue immagini.

The Cardinal
Faithful to his instinct for the
concretely rustic and popular, Manzł embarks on a tight (but not rigid
or closed) structuring of the image. The vibrations of the surface
correspond to an inner throb, measured and extended, that draws them
into more complex harmonies; in this way he emphasizes the emotional
rhythms naturally congenial to the subject.
