Maestro Lombardo 1485 circa    Cristo deriso

Nei rilievi con Storie del Vecchio e del Nuovo Testamento del registro inferiore della facciata della Certosa, eseguiti dall'Amadeo e dai suoi collaboratori, si distinguono alcuni Maestri che, come l'autore di questo «Cristo deriso», fondono i dati stilistici dell'Amadeo, armoniosamente calibrati, con i più aspri timbri dei Mantegazza. Nella solenne inquadratura prospettica bramantesca e nell'ordine ampio dei gruppi (elementi nel gusto dell'Amadeo), scattano le figure allungate e nervose del repertorio mantegazzesco.

In the relief by Amadeo and his collaborators with Stories of the Old and New Testament in the lower register of the façade of the monastery may be seen the work of some masters such as the creator of this piece “Christ derided”, including Amadeo’s stylistic information, harmoniously calibrated with the sharp tones of Mantegazza. The solemn Bramante-style perspective and the large order of the group (elements following Amadeo’s style) produce the elongated and nervous figures of a Mantegazza repertoire.
