VAŁARSHAPAT - ST. GAYANE / Vllth century
This church is a combination of the basilical plan with the domed Greek cross type. The apse is enclosed within the thickness of the wall. The porch with three low brick domes of Byzantine type on the west façade was added in 1683. A large cemetery surrounds the building both inside and outside of the boundary wall.
