Grape harvesting

The main theme here is of the peasants employed in grape harvesting in a vineyard at the foot of a castle. Other peasants picking fruit from the trees may be seen to the right of the picture in the distance, spied on by a hardly visible figure at the window.

La vendemmia.

L’immagine predominante in questo caso è quella dei contadini impegnati nella vendemmia in una vigna ai piedi di un castello. In lontananza, sulla destra, si possono vedere altri contadini che raccolgono la frutta dagli alberi, spiati fugacemente da una figura, appena percepibile, alla finestra.
